Merry Christmas to all Miravar crews and participants.... hope to sail together soon in 2020 and looking forward to a third edition of MIRAVAR!
day4
Photos from Miravar 2nd edition day 4:
All good things must come to an end .... but in the case of the crews of Miravar that is not before some further sailing, beach spotting, picnicing, and some more sailing .
The sail from Porquerolles to mainland was initially slow and uneventful due to the light airs, but ended up with doubled reefed mains when approaching our final destination, the port of La Londe.
After a 5 days together, several miles sailed together, having discovered or revisited beatiful places in the Porquerolles Archipelago, having shared meals nd drinks and many stories , the time had come to say our goodbyes.
Ad maiora .... !!! And possibly see you again at a future edition of Miravar
day3
Photos from Miravar 2nd edition day 3:
after
being rejoined on the island of Porquerolles by a few further friends and family memebers and enjoying one of the best meals so far in Miravar
(thanks to Ingrid for arranging it!) the crews leave the safe harbour
in light airs for a leisurely sail to the eastern tip of the island
looking for (and finding) a nice landing spot for a picnic
together. The program of the day include a shorter sail to allow
time to visit a permanent art exhibition on the island of
Porquerolles (thanks Ingrid, again!).
The
exhibition was interesting, and at times enlightening. Having left
the mainland a couple of days prior and having enjoyed many hours of
sailing together , the crews souls were ready to soak in the best of
the art installations.
